Refurbishment - The organ - The Church office and room bookings
The Church was built in 1913 "to attract and retain, and not repel, the young Methodists who come to this University" in the words of the then President of Conference in seeking support for its building.
It overlooks Christ's Pieces, one of the most delightful of Cambridge's commons. Built in Gothic style, the building blends with many public and university buildings in the city.
Internally, it was extensively refurbished in 1990 at a cost of £1.3 million, and is now an extremely user-friendly building, with good access, facilities for families with children of all ages, the disabled and for those with hearing difficulties.

We are proud of our historic William Hill organ, built in 1844, and installed in Wesley at the time of refurbishment in 1990. Our organist and choirmaster is Geoff Batty.

is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:30. Our Centre Manager is Rachel Clarke, and the office also has volunteers who are available both to give information and to welcome visitors to the Church and its premises. |
